The Youngstown State football crew will continue a home-and-home arrangement with McNeese State starting with a challenge at Stambaugh Stadium in 2021.

The Penguins will visit Cowboy Stadium in Lake Charles, La., in 2024, the school’s reported on Friday.

The 2021 challenge is scheduled for September 18 while the 2024 game will be played on Sept. 14.

The Penguins and Cowboys most as of late finished a home-and-home arrangement in 2002 and 2004. In 2002, YSU dropped a 28-13 challenge at Stambaugh Stadium before enduring a 24-20 destruction at MSU in 2004. The school’s recently had a home-and-home arrangement in 1994 and 1995. YSU won the underlying gathering between the projects, 28-8 out of 1994 preceding losing in 1995.

The Guins crushed the Cowboys 10-9 in the 1997 FCS National Championship Game in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Visits to Rice in 2022 and Texas A&M in 2024 just as a home-and-home with Youngstown State features future games for the McNeese Cowboy football crew, which were reported by the athletic office on Friday.

Also, McNeese will play Alcorn in another home-and-home arrangement – facilitating the Braves in 2022 while restoring the outing in 2023.

Having just been declared for 2020, the Cowboys will visit ULL just as facilitating Northern Colorado of the Big Sky Conference in an arrival trip from McNeese’s visit to UNC last season.

In 2021, McNeese will have West Florida and will head out to LSU and Youngstown State and in 2022, will visit Rice and will have Alcorn.

McNeese will head out to Alcorn in 2023, and in 2024, will have Youngstown State while making an outing to Texas A&M.

The Cowboys have never played Rice, who is an individual from the Conference USA.

McNeese and Texas A&M played once previously, that in 2001 when the Cowboys gave the Aggies everything they could deal with in a 38-24 misfortune.

The last time McNeese and Youngstown met on the turf was in 2004 when the Cowboys beat the Penguins 24-20 in Lake Charles. The two groups have met multiple times in the arrangement, including the 1997 FCS National Championship game in a 10-9 YSU win. McNeese drives the untouched arrangement against the Missouri Valley Football Conference group by a 3-2 favorable position.

The Cowboys and LSU played once previously, that in 2010 with the Tigers posting a 32-10 win. The two groups were booked to meet in 2015 yet only four minutes into the primary quarter, downpour and lightning ended the challenge and was, in the long run, dropped because of the climate.

McNeese and ULL will restore a long-lasting contention that was played each season until 1986. From that point forward, the two groups have played twice – in 2007, a 38-17 McNeese win and in 2016, a 30-22 misfortune.

Dates for the games will be declared sometime in the future.
